What parts of the research process do you like the least? Why?

Waiting for the requested data that are very critical for my analysis is one of my least like part of the research process. Data are vital part of building a sound research and collecting and eliciting information from various people is quite challenging. There are cases where some offices, institution or even individuals tend to become strict about releasing information through going through several steps that appears to be unnecessary. There are also cases that bureaucracy within an institution affects publishing of information even under non-disclosure agreement. Such delay in the circulation of information defers the process of analysis and, worst-case, the analysis process of the researcher.

What is the importance of ethical standards in research? Why should we CARE about human subjects?

Ethical standards are important in research because it promotes trust and respect among the defined norms, values and standards within the arena of the subject of the research. An example of such case is that whenever we cite a fact, quotation or examples, it is important that we maintain and mention the copyright within our documentation. In relation to this, it is also critical that a researcher follows the policies with regard to data sharing as well as the rules of confidentiality in case of peer reviews. Furthermore, abiding by the defined ethical standards of a research guarantees that a researcher is accountable for what he or she is releasing in the public . Meanwhile, during the duration of a research, it equally important to value and show concern to human subjects because whatever result that a researcher has concerning his analysis will potentially affect the lives of his human subjects. Also, the analysis that involved a human subject entail credibility and reliability of information, therefore, it is the responsibility of the researcher to protect and care about his subject .
