A Review Of The Fool Chapter Essay Sample
The fool walks on plains; his bundle flung over his shoulder. He needs, after all, very little. It is the potential of his youth, which he really needs. Inexperienced and young he is, yet he carries wisdom that the older ones do not comprehend. He is the origin, which expresses his potential to be anything that he may want. We see a small dog accompanying him; this is representative of his animal desires or a call to the real world. A call that is always nipping at his heels, distracting him, and at the same time, acting as his tether to normal life. As though in a leap of faith, or in a huge mistake, we see the fool walking towards a cliff and seems unaware that he is about to step, off.
The fool represents the need for self-analysis, always asking oneself, if the choices we have made are the right ones. The fool, on the other hand, can represent madness, real foolishness, or even reckless dreams. Overall, the fool is representative of a journey of future change, the beginning of the life and death cycle.
The fool is happily wandering and sees the world through the eyes of a child. He represents all of us and each of us, naïve travelers in this world, here for an adventure and ready to learn whatever lessons life will offer.
The fool is the man who cares little in his journey. Be it the beginning, or the end. The fool possesses no dwelling in this world; His home is in heaven. The fool represents a mystical cleverness that defies reason in each of us. The free spirit, the trickster, the universal optimist, or what we all become at certain points in our lives, the hope of all good things ahead.
