1. Sociologists and government obtain reliable data statistics by collaborating with the data from the law enforcement based from the daily crime records. The FBI launched the National Incident Based Reporting System (NIBRS) which collects data regarding on the common social deviance such as rape, murder, neglect, and others and the information collected herein are summarized,; thereby granting sociologists and other government agencies an access to reliable information.
2. The victims were often reluctant to report their experiences because the victims still suffered the traumas especially in the case of rape. The loss of dignity is very embarrassing which is why sometimes rape assaults were not reported to protect the privacy and identity of the victim.
3. Neglect is pretty difficult to determine because children who suffered neglect often exhibit an aggressive behavior compared to other children. Compared to physical abuse, neglect is almost a powerful force destroying the child’s positive outlook in life.
4. Before approval, all treaties must be duly examined by law experts around the world to check if it complies in accordance of the international standards. US position itself as a neutral country and therefore it must ensure that these treaties must not become a part of the US laws. Also, the lack of public understanding and the misinterpretation of the Convention’s provisions make it impossible to ratify the law immediately.

Domestic abuse involves the relatives of the child verbally, physical, and mentally abusing the children simply because they do not belong in the family. Also children from third world countries are the common victims because poverty enables them to work harder than they must in order to provide food for their families.
6. The story of Andres and Ana is an example of marital rape because Ana did not gave her consent to copulate with her husband. Usually marital rape has a shattering effect on its victims therefore it would be rated as ‘5’ because of the psychological damage it invokes to the victims.
7. Originally, women had no rights like men and the society tolerated the marital rape because upon marriage, women become the property of their husbands. The evolution of marital rape laws was a long story; for decades the issues concerning marital rape were ignored by states but it was due to the feminists’ movement that the marital rape became a criminal offense on many US states as well as in other countries.
8. It because the most common stereotypes of rape acts usually involved stranger men and victims. In the past, marital rape was not treated as a crime because women lose their rights upon their marriage and husbands have a right to do whatever he pleases with his wife.
9. The factors that contributed to the decline of filial violence mainly originates from the laws enacted by the state protecting the rights of women and children as well as the education concerning the equal rights shared by both male and female members of the society. Feminist movement and organizations regarding the anti-child violence were also established; therefore, many people gained enlightened views about the human rights shared by both men and women.
