As the digital economy transforms traditional industries, company leaders focus on adapting innovative policies. Administrators comprehend that technology is the heart that drives essential change in enterprises. For this reason, commerce and healthcare experts must enhance capabilities on a constant basis to succeed in digitally driven markets. In my long-term and committed role as a dynamic pharmaceutical manager, I understand the relevance of disruptors and start-ups that transform 21st century organizations. Having progressive resolve and ingenuity are essential skills that executives update as rapid breakthroughs represent the new business model in the pharma industry.
In 2016, I continue the intellectual journey that propels and enhances my intentions in the competitive and spearheading healthcare market. In April, I graduate with a post-graduate degree in project management from Fanshawe College in London, Ontario. During my first term at the Lawrence Klinin School of Business, I completed my courses with “A” grades and only one course with a grade of “B+” that was only two percentage points from an “A”. I attribute these excellent grades to my fluency in English. Degree completion in the project management program validates my prior trajectory in the field.
At my previous employment at PAREXEL International in Kyiv, Ukraine, I demonstrated outstanding guidance and people skills in the role of Clinical Monitoring Associate, Project Manager I held from February to August 2015. In this complex and productive capacity, I attained critical deadline objectives in third-party vendor and hospital contracts. My effective managerial style also received recognition placed the country among the top three nations internationally for the highest patient enrollment. A final laudable achievement as a Project Manager for PAREXEL came with obtaining a “10 out of 10” satisfaction rating from our Overall Sponsor in an annual survey for Ukraine.
My tenure at PAREXEL International represents almost a decade of effectual and progressive administrative skills in managing pharmaceutical sales and research projects for a variety of reputable and well-known global pharmaceutical companies. Remarkably, my original path did not start with project or pharmaceutical management. The primary goal in 2005 focused on obtaining a medical degree in general medicine. Nevertheless, my training as a doctor provides the technical capacity to comprehend the aspects of clinical and healthcare research while grasping the complexities of product portfolio management when I began as a medical representative in direct sales shortly after graduation.
Presently, my proactive initiatives place me in Canada to upgrade aptitudes in both project management and governance. Receiving a degree in the former from Fanshawe College completes the first goal. The second phase results from my successful application and MBA completion at Laurentian University. I chose Laurentian for a variety of reasons as the program offers students many advantages. The program’s first asset is its fast-track nature of only one year. Its second selling point is the flexible schedule with night classes for on-campus students. Moreover, the program is affordable compared to other Canadian post-graduate programs. Finally, the Laurentian community represents a stimulating and rewarding opportunity that enables me to fulfill new scholarly achievements in a vibrant and expanding academic setting.
Attending Laurentian University’s Second-entry MBA program allows me to continue achieving relevant aspirations in the pharmaceutical industry such as becoming a project lead or director. In establishing SMART goals for admissions acceptance, I am Team Leader in the following program courses: Project Cost Management, Project Scope Management, and Project Time Management. I balance my studies with individual social responsibility activities through volunteerism activities at Banting House NHSC, and Sharing House, which assists students in need on the Fanshawe campus. Preceding the application process to Laurentian, I also investigated LinkedIn profiles of pharmaceutical managers and followed the suggestions of my last line manager who recommended that I obtain an MBA degree to become an initiator in the pharmaceutical field. Business sectors experience shortened technology cycles and constant disruptors. Acceptance into Laurentian’s MBA program further prepares me to continue excelling in a technology directed world.
