Leaders are the people who master the art which is the essential part of effective management. Organizational leadership is the ability to influence a group of people in their professional activities to achieve enterprise’s goals. This topic has been considered for years and many theories and concepts has been developed an order to increase the labor quality on the enterprise. The leadership theories are the approaches to influence workers that are based on different qualities, skills and behaviors both of managers and ordinary workers. There is a great variety of leadership theories. The are situational, transformational, charismatic, strategic, authentic, servant, adaptive among organizational approaches of leadership. I am going to consider situational, transactional and transformational theories in more detail.
Situational Leadership states that a group leader is the one person who has certain qualities, characteristics, abilities and experience required for optimal solving of the problem that occur in the group of people (team). The theory also suggests that if a person becomes a leader in one situation, he has more chances to be a leader in the next situation that occurs.
Transactional Leadership theory states that leading abilities to punish or rewards. Leaders must have a goal and possess the ability to train and evaluate the workers’ actions for goal achievement.
Transformational Leadership suggests the idea that people will properly do their work if they are appreciated. In this case a transformational manager makes people feel that they are able to do anything. The manager must be an inspirer for the workers. They are also inspired by actions, events, not money rewards or punishments.
