Innovative Solution to add to the efficiency of a Winner Store
Winner Stores offers a huge selection of clothing & home decor. The brand is very popular and offers ever-changing options in brand and at prices that are generally 20%-60% below the prices regular every day. It is no surprise to see a steady traffic of customers at the Winner Store, who come looking for fashion, brand, quality in real brands and make real savings. The purpose behind the proposal is to offer a better shopping experience to the customers.
Introduction The employees at the Winner store feel that when the customers come to shop clothes at Winner, they simply drop the clothes on the floor accidentally and do not bother to place them back. Soon, the floor of the store gets full of clothes, and the store looks messy. The store being extremely busy, it is of no use if the fitters and the staff try to hang back the clothes, as the next lot of customers come in and mess them up again. It gets difficult for the staff to attend to the customers, keep the neat look of the store and at the same time stay self-motivated to serve their customers. Moreover, the staff of the store spends their time hanging cloths instead of helping the customers or working on cash registers. Another issue is the fitting room where every customer is allowed to take in 10 items at a time and they do not hang the clothes back after trying them on. The staff is not allowed to send the cloths back on the floor before they are sorted out and have very limited time to sort clothes.
Research Question Having clothes on the floor of the store leaves a negative impact on the whole state of affairs. The employers feel demotivated, and there are concerns about the safety of the customers. The question here is how to keep orderliness in the store, keep the customer happy and let the workers and the staff get sufficient time to look after their responsibilities.
Method The solution to the above problem arising at Winner store might find a solution that is based on the inspiration of fast food joint. Everyone in fast food restaurants looks after their needs and take care of their trays. The idea is to make the customers motivated to be helpful in the store. They can give a hand in hanging their clothes on the hangers. This can speed up the services in the store as well as keep the store neat and orderly. If the clothes are placed on the hangers by the customers, the staff will just have the task of sorting them by size and department, before sending them back on the floor.
ProjectThe idea is to keep one day of the week where the staff does not hang any clothes, and they are left in the warehouse. It is going to end up in a huge pile of clothes. The staff can take out the cloths a day after from warehouse and leave them at the middle of store with two racks beside them, one empty and the other one rack full of hangers on.
A huge sign should be placed that that says:
These clothes were either fallen by customers or not hanged back on hangers in fitting rooms. Kindly donate 10 seconds of your time to hang just one cloth.
The social media can be used to promote these steps and spread the result of this action. It will keep the customers interested and the store will be a lot more organized.
