In most cases, Computer Science focuses on developing software or programs and addressing essential scientific questions on the nature of computation. In addition, Computer Science also involves the study of issues of hardware and architecting of computer systems that is very crucial in the development of infrastructure of government and commercial businesses. Computer Science opens the path for many careers that play a great role in enhancing the growth and development of information technology sector of economy. It does this by coming up with computer hardware and software that assist nations, businesses and their people in handling their day to day work (Reilly 124).
In addition, it creates employment to many people who assist in the development of the hardware and software not for getting those people who make use of the software and hardware for business. This discipline has various careers that many students can venture in to build their future as professionals. Some of those careers include computer engineering, Computer programming, graphic designing, web developing, desktop publishing, data base developing and web mastering among many others. Each of these careers plays a great role towards the development of the computer world. In the world today everybody is talking about being digital whereby everything is being done using the computer. Advancement in technology has seen the world utilize computers in doing almost everything in education, businesses, making vehicles and driving among many others. All this progress in technology is due to efforts brought in by computer science careers (Brookshear 298)
In Computer Science program I like the computer programmer career. I like this career because it is the main career that helps in the running of a computer. Computer programming involves designing software that drives the functioning of the computer. The process of programming leads to the development of various applications that are very important in information transfer and exchange among the people of the world.
Recently computer programming career has been very helpful in the development of applications that have helped people, businesses and governments in their daily chaos. For instance the application of programming in web development has led to the development of new applications that are applicable in electronics industry and more particularly in mobile phones. A good example of such applications is the WhatsApp application that has become a common social media in the world. Computer Programming career is very applicable to many industries and in fact it is becoming the main frame in designing many electronics used in the world today.
In conclusion, Computer Science is a very important discipline in enhancing the growth and development of economy. It has various careers that help in the development of software, computer infrastructure and architectures that are vital for business growth and development, government development and individual development. The careers in Computer Science today have become success to many people who focus on enhancing efficiency in their day today jobs. It has also played a great role towards improving the standards of living. Many people in the world are making a lot of money through the use of computer science knowledge even though many of them do not enough computer knowledge and skills basis. I have a feeling that computer science careers have become very important in day to day life. Therefore, people need to endeavor and focus on developing computer knowledge and skills in order to cope with the ever changing world of technology.
