This question is significant since it is appropriate for the company to evaluate where it has come from and then it is from there that it will be able to map its way forward. The first strategy that the company employed is by producing products that could offer a cutting edge with an integrated user experience. Secondly, Apple Company was able to build Macs that have an IBM CPU known as the power PC and the owner of the company also managed to shift apple to Intel chips and these chips enabled the company to come up with laptops that were faster in their operation (Rossano, 2012). The third element that boosted Apple was the development of a set of applications that is, the company was able to invest on programs. Lastly, the company the company came up with a good distribution strategy and this made it possible for its customer across the globe to have access to Apple products.

It is necessary to ask this question since the Apple Company is in a free market where there is free entrance in the market. It is has competitors, therefore it is good for the company to know and understand them better so that it may be to know how they operate and the competitive advantage they have. The competitors for Apple are Samsung electronics, HTC, LG electronics, Motorola and Nokia (Rossano, 2012).

It is good for the company to understand the competitive advantage that it has over its competitors in order to take advantage on to gain a huge market niche. The fist competitive advantage that Apple had was its iPods which were sophisticated than those of its competitors since they had two special features; the iTunes desktop software and its iTunes music store (Rossano, 2012). The iTunes emerged as the first legal stores that people can download songs on pay per song method. The company also came up with one of its kind iPhone touch screen that had 3.5 inch interface that enabled users to use their fingertips without using the a physical keyboard (Rossano, 2012). As results of introduction of iPhones the company was able to sell 6 million units in five quarters.
