Dear Mr. /Ms. Draper/ Jiminez/ Chen/ Patel
I greatly appreciate all the effort that you have made for the benefit of Arugula stores, and I’d like to personally thank you for the uphill struggle which I’m sure it has been for a while now.
I’m definite you agree that the current merger between Arugula grocers and Evergreen Markets has been a hard change for all of us, but being faithful employees, you would unquestionably want for the company to rise through the loss it has been suffering since the preceding three years.
This merger would require a few modifications to be made and a handful of the staff would have to go. This change regretfully would have to be made at the executive level of the organization. A few of the executive personnel would however stay on a little longer to make sure that the merger proceeds without any holdups.
Every employee who has to go will be giving a glowing letter of recommendation and three salaries so that you could get take care of your family until you find new employment.
It has been a pleasure having you on board through the merger. I wish you the very best on your subsequent employment.
Sincerely,
Kathleen Norton
