The program is aimed at reducing the vulnerability of the American cyberspace to attacks, and hence reducing such threats. Moreover, A National Cyber Security Awareness and Training Program is in place aimed at sensitized the general public on the threats associated with cyber-attacks and means of protecting oneself from such. Using the above strategies, the USA has managed to protect its cyberspace and stopped hundreds of threat targeting specific departments in its economy, security, among others. For example, due to the increased awareness, up to 60% of the US businesses have increased their cyber security to almost infiltration-proof.
The cyber security profession has since grown in USA due to the increased waves for cyber-attacks.
