1. Article Summary.
Describe the article. What was the article about? Summarize as comprehensively and concisely as possible. Be sure to define any unfamiliar terms.
Meissner’s ultimate goal in his paper is to calculate the electron’s specific charge and in the end, he was able to separate the stable periodic table of the chemical elements from the unstable, artificially constructed fundamental particles. Meisssner based his theory on the universal understanding that the velocity of light is constant and its differential is automatically zero. He based his methods using the two new laws of force called spherical hyperbolic symmetry and the Teleronki model, both of which were drawn from the relativistic laws of force.
2. Critical Analysis.
Describe why you believe this article would merit discussion in your science class. (How well did this article present the information it was meant to convey? How well was it written?  Did you find it stimulating? Confusing? Biased? Informative? etc.). Touch on each of these areas.
This article should be discussed in class because it is a new discovery that disproves an existing, general accepted theory in the laws of physics, which is the big bang theory. The article’s approach to scientific theory is new. By practicing the black box method, it has now been possible to precisely calculate mass. This approach is certainly in contrast with the standard model because the notion of stable atomic nuclei is impossible using Meissner’s method.
Meissner presented the information and the calculations well. He explained where the equations were derived and how they are possible in relation to the new laws of force. However, there is a limited resource regarding the new Teleronki model that students should have access to. Since this is a very new theory in science, it is vital that the students understand how the theory was brought about and how it differs from the existing laws of relativity.
3. Science in Everyday Life
How would this topic relate to your students and their everyday life? Why or how is it relevant to them? Give some specifics here.
We experience and benefit from science every single second of our lives. All around us are objects and machines that were made based on specific calculations of atomic particles. Cell phones and computers were not just invented by putting one stone over the other. People who made technology, engineers and scientists, were able to invent the things we enjoy through complicated methods that involves calculating matter’s composition, understanding how chemicals work and how they affect each other.
4. Science Teaching
How would you present this article to your students? Is it connected conceptually to science content or course material? Cite example(s) of how this article may enhance or supplement the curriculum. Be specific about the Georgia Performance Standards or your state standards for science. Be specific about how you would use this article to address the GPS.
This article would be a good reading material to give to students as an example of proving and disproving existing and generally accepted theories of today. This will encourage them to broaden their understanding of science and increase their knowledge in the process.
