It is important to avoid unhealthy fats so as to limit the cholesterol levels to as low minimum levels as possible. Some of the healthy fats include poly and monounsaturated fats from vegetable oils, canola oils and olive oil.
The recommended protein intake is 0.8g/kg body weight. To get this amount of protein, it is important that one takes nuts, seeds, grains and vegetables.
Essential vitamins that such a patient should take include phosphorus, sodium and potassium. For a patient with a chronic kidney disease, a diet with more than 800 mg of phosphorus can do them good. This nutrient can be obtained from milk, cheese, yoghurt, ice cream or even nuts. It is important for the patient to avoid phosphate additives and should stick to natural phosphate as mentioned above. Suppose that the phosphate level is high, a special active vitamin D is recommended.
It is important to reduce an elevated potassium level by avoiding high potassium foods and potassium chloride and limiting the daily servings of fruit, vegetables and milk. Besides, reducing salt and sodium intake is important for maintaining low levels of sodium in the blood.

Diet Plan 2

An Overweight Person
Most people would want to shed their weight by simply working out and maintaining their normal food regime. Losing weight has to be accompanied by a change in the dietary intake, in which case the individual will have to minimize their carbohydrate consumption by avoiding processed foods and taking as little carbohydrates as possible. Below is a simple regular meal for a person who would like to maintain their weight or keep shedding off weight without the fear of adding additional fats in their body.
Breakfast

Smoothie Make a cocktail of 1 cup of frozen berries, ½ a banana and 8 ounces fat-free milk

½ English muffin with one tablespoon margarine.
Lunch

One bowl of salad

6 ounces light yoghurt
20 grapes

One glass of mango juice

One glass of water
Dinner

½ cup vegetarian baked beans

3 minor boiled red potatoes capped with a spoon of margarine.
3 cups spinach, steamed
4 ounces steamed shrimp
Since an individual who wants to shed weight has to eliminate more fats, they will have to minimize to a great extent their carbohydrate intake as much as possible. It means that they will have to maintain a 1200 low-calorie diet, but the patient will have to ensure that they do it right so that they get all the essential nutrients. For the carbohydrate servings, one can purchase them from the grocery store or the supermarket. However, the groceries offer the best options since there is more variety there. In the process of sticking to the meal, it is important that the patient takes at least eight glasses of water on a daily basis.
A 1200 low-calorie diet works best since it is the minimum number of calories one can consume in 24 hours although still consuming most of the nutrients that he/she needs for thriving and maintaining optimal performance. In such a situation, one should avoid as many proteins as possible by maximizing on whole meal cereals or milk for snacking. Milk will provide the patient with proteins recommended. In as much as the individual should avoid fat as much as possible, the patient should also take healthy fats such as those from nuts or even seeds. For cooking, using corn oil or olive oil is recommended.
