My diet report is right though there are other meals that have been overtaken while others are undertaken. I take fewer calories according to the report. The way I make proteins and carbohydrates are okay. However, the dietary fiber is what is recommended by doctors that a person should take. I take too much saturated fat, fewer acids, some minerals are taken in plenty while others are moderated.
For a balanced diet, one should try to eat a rainbow of vegetables and fruits. This should be every day with every meal. Fruits that are intensely colored and vegetables contain higher concentration of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, and the different colors have different benefits. One should, therefore, eat a variety. A person should aim at a minimum of five portions of fruits every day. Berries should be added to breakfast cereals eating fruit as a healthy dessert.
Fruits help in the protection against some types of cancer and other diseases. The benefit of the fruit does not come from a single vitamin. Therefore, a person should take a variety.
Moreover, it is important than a person makes whole grains and healthy carbs. The fiber sources and carbohydrates especially the whole grain gives long lasting energy. Apart from being delicious and satisfying, the whole grains are rich in phytochemicals and antioxidants, this help to protect against the coronary heart diseases some cancers and diabetes. Research has shown that people who eat more grains have a healthier heart. The healthy carbs include beans, fruits, whole grains, and vegetables. This are digested slowly, and they keep the blood sugar level stable.
It is important that a person enjoys healthy fats and avoids the unhealthy fats. Good sources of the healthy fats are needed to bring nourishment to the skin, the hair and the nails. Foods that are rich in some omega three fats called DHA and EPA are of particular importance and are in a position to reduce cardiovascular disease, prevent dementia and improve the moods of a person. Saturated fats should not be included from the diet of an individual. Experts recommend that the amount of saturated fat should be limited to the body. That means that if a person needs 2000 calories in a single day, then no more than 140 of the calories should come from saturated fat. Not more than 20 of the calories should come from trans fat. This is less than 2 grams of the trans fat each and every day.
Additionally, calcium is essential for the bones and should be included in the diet. Calcium is the primary nutrient that the body needs to stay healthy and active. The body uses calcium to build healthy bones, keep the bones strong as one age and send the messages through the nerve system and regulate the rhythm of the heart. If one does not get enough calcium, the body will take calcium from the bones for its function that may lead to osteoporosis.
Proteins give the body energy to get up and go. Protein is broken down into 20 amino acids that are the body’s fundamental building blocks for energy and growth and essential for the maintenance of the organs and the tissues. Most people need high-quality protein. Sugar and salt, on the contrary, should be kept down.
In conclusion, it is important that one keeps a healthy diet. Proper diet prevents one from diseases and makes the body remain stable for long.
