Introduction
Experimental aka true experiments and quasi-experimental law are considered the two types of research design which have one thing in common and that is to research what causes certain occurrences to process the difference in outcomes .They do this by making slight changes in some of the products of research to measure the difference in outcome e.g. putting two tablespoons of peroxide in baking soda vs. three tablespoons etc. to see if there is a different reaction. In a true experiment all of the variables that could change the outcome of the experiment are always monitored and maintained. It’s important to apply the best experimental method for different research.
Discussion
In a true experiment any variables are randomly chosen and in a quasi-experiment there are direct decisions in the variables that are chosen. One example of this for each would be if you had a randomized pick of people off of the street with no limitations for testing that is quasi-experimental or if the subjects participating were chosen because they all had red hair that would be a true experiment. Because the subjects in the study may vary in many ways there would have to be statistics for comparison used for a controlled variable in a quasi-experimental study which also leads to several different outcomes or theories when finished.
Conclusion
The quasi-experimental research seems to find a broader range of options which is slightly more chaotic than a true experiment however it offers a wide range of ideas. Considering combining the two by first using a quasi-experimental approach followed by a true experiment once possible theories are determined then a true experiment could determine the reliability furthermore providing proof of success or failure of said research.
