Abstract
The purpose of the study is to determine the effect of Samsung and apple technology on our culture and mentality. The research explains features of both technologies in detail. Thereafter, it gives a brief history of how people moved from previous technologies to the use of Samsung and Apple. The study then examines relevance of both Apple and Samsung phones in our culture and how people have accepted and embraced the technology.
The study uses surveys to collect data. After the analysis of data, it is expected that apple and Samsung technologies have affected culture of United States in diverse ways.
Introduction
Mobile technology has been evolving. Currently, the world is experiencing an increased production of Smartphones. Different companies are developing Smartphone with new features. Such companies are Apple and Samsung. Apple and Samsung have been reported to be competing. The two companies are competing for a large market share. Their competition has led to the development of Smartphone that have impacted our culture.
Few researches have been carried out to determine the effect of Smartphone on the society. In fact, the researchers have not focused on Apple and Samsung. Therefore, the study examines the effect of Samsung and apple technology on our culture and mentality.
Body of the Research Paper
Majority of participants in the study stated that they were addicted to their mobile phones. 55% agreed that they were users of Samsung phones. 40% stated that they were users of Apple. Users of both phones stated that the phones had made it easy to communicate. Moreover, Apple had made it easy to access the internet. The phones had also assisted in monitoring family members especially children. In addition, the survey showed that a large portion of the respondents 33% were addicted to their phones. The addiction interfered with their sleep. Approximately 55% of people interviewed stated that they could not go to bed without their earphones.
According to the data, apple and Samsung have affected the society negatively and positively. The two phones allow effective communication and constant contact to family members. However, the phones have increased cases of addiction. Some people could not function without their phones.
Conclusion
The purpose of the study was to examine the effect of Samsung and apple technology on our culture and mentality. The study gives characteristic features of both Apple and Samsung phones. Subsequently, it provides a concise history of how people moved from previous technologies to the use of Samsung and Apple. The research then observes significance of both Apple and Samsung phones in our culture and how people have accepted and embraced the technology.
The study showed that Apple and Samsung phones affect our culture. The surveys showed that the technology enhanced communication. However, it brought about addiction, which is negative.
The study also found out that mobile technology has been evolving rapidly. According to literature reviews, mobile technology is one of the most advancing technologies in the world (Taplin, 2013).
The study has great implications. It shows how technologies determine day-to-day activities. The study presents how technologies can be used in diverse fields like nursing to enhance the effectiveness. Moreover, the study is important to both companies since it shows the effect of their technologies to the society. In addition, it provides avenues for other researchers in a similar study.
