McDonalds is an American company that supplies refreshment services to Americans and the rest of the world. This business started in 1955 covering a small town, but the business has grown into 36000 restaurants worldwide serving more than sixty-nine million people all over the world (McDonalds Restaurants Ltd - Annual Report). The employment scale is too vast covering over one hundred countries. It has helped shape the living standards of many people around the world through motivational stories, entrepreneurial skills among others. This paper is to cover the working conditions in the McDonalds Company.
Pay at the company is a sensitive concept that the company considers more. Recruitment is of skilled labor, and all their pay is according to the professionalism level and the area of operation (Nawaz 5542). The salary average pay range from Usd.8.24 per hour and a minimum fee of Usd.6, 7 and 8 per hour for a cashier, crew member and crew trainer respectively. The company records over 440,000 employees as per 2013 and expecting to expand in the coming years .
Currently, employees at McDonalds are striking and raising issues of unfavorable working conditions, and the management is offering limited concern. A number of workers get hurt as others are living without pay for close to three weeks. A situation of the company being sued is rising daily as the workers are being handled poorly .
In conclusion, the company offers numerous benefits both to its workers and customers. They have flexible schedules that make every person smile even before they pick up a paycheck. Management provides value to their team through competitive wages and investment opportunities that are making them retain their employees and lose some to immediate competitors
