Essay On The Nuclear Disaster Of Chernobyl
The overall emotional reaction induced by all the videos is an amalgamation of immense anger and pain. My collective feelings after watching the videos on Chernobyl disaster are of pain, agony, anxiety, anger, rage, and desperation
Inside Chernobyl
I experienced a rush of anger over the approach of the then Soviet authorities for a number of reasons.
First, they ordered an experiment without giving proper thought to the aftermath of such an experiment.
But then, after the incident the role that the authorities played and the way they tried to underplay one of the biggest disaster in modern history is outlandish.
Chernobyl heart
The most severe feelings of anguish, grief and melancholy arose in me when I observed the sufferings and misery of the people affected by the nuclear disaster.
The emotions I felt on observing the pain that infants and other little children had to bear for a thing nothing of their design is beyond my ability to express in words.
The battle of Chernobyl
I feel that the way Soviet authorities behaved after the incident, their news coverage, their disaster management, and their handling of the affected population is simply preposterous.
The first reaction of the people in charge was to cover up the disaster
It was very hard to control the grief when the full impact of the affliction of the affected people of Chernobyl was dawned upon me through the documentary.
Whenever the documentaries focused on the deformities in the children caused by the nuclear radiations, a cold chill ran through my spine.
The overall reaction of all the three videos was almost the same, a mixture of horror, outrage and lamentation. However, the impact of the documentary called “Chernobyl Heart” was much severe on me than the other two. Primarily, because the video itself was much more emotionally charged than the other two as it was mainly focused on the sufferings and deformities the people suffered due to the radiations.
