Essay On The Quest For Salvation

Different faiths in the world have different beliefs about live after death. Some believe in the continuation of live after death but in a different form. Christians do believe that if one lives by the teachings and the set commandments of God, then they are guaranteed life after death. The principle of the quest for salvation is deeply rooted on how one conducts themselves according to the Christian beliefs. The Buddha alleges that there is no life after death, and therefore one should focus on the present life here on earth and forget about focusing on the conviction that there is life after death. Life after death is based on salvation. Back in the East, the word salvation as used by Christians may as well mean liberation by Muslims.
For Christians, life after death is only possible if one follows the teachings. Hence, the question of what happens after death is something that every person of different faiths has remained curious about. Sacrificing one’s life for a positive cause is always an acceptable move. However, different people may define a ‘positive cause’ differently. What a particular group of people of faith may term as a positive reason may be defined as a capital offence or crime by another. A person who seeks to be remembered must do an act that is positive to the society and humanity in general. In Islam, building a mosque is considered an act of greatness of which somebody should be remembered.
Sacrificing oneself in a suicide attempt to kill fellow is often not considered a positive act as some people may claim. From the literature that people have read about the end of the world or an apocalypse, it is clear that people tend to believe the assertions made by these authors. People should study their faith in depth in order to understand what the actual teachings about salvation re and bout the actual facts about the end of the world. Baseless allegations and assumption about salvation and life after death has led numerous people to develop many theories about an apocalypse that has in turn led them to live in weird lifestyle claiming that they are waiting for the apocalypse.
