Everything About Phony People

A person who is a fake or phony acts in a way that is not his true nature. He presents a façade to the outside world in an effort to meet what he thinks are the expectations of others. But eventually, the very people he is trying to fool come to realize that he is just a phony. At that point, he loses his credibility; ironically, everything he says or does from that point is perceived as fake whether it is or not.
A person who is phony will present a façade about how he is living his life. But there’s nothing to envy about living a false life. The phony person will begin to become suspicious of others, thinking they are trying to expose the truth about him. And yet, there are few people who want to live a life based on lies. In living a false life, the phony person is deceiving himself that it is truly the life he wants. A person may create a fake existence to impress others, but it rarely does so. And he will always worry that the truth will surface.
There are ways to tell if someone is phony. They will be ready to go along for parties or outings, but if asked to help with a boring task or hard work, an excuse will surface. Phony people can’t express true feelings because they may get caught in their lie. In fact, they rarely show anything but false feelings. Whether they are angry or sad or happy, the mood can change in an instant if the situation dictates it. Even their emotions are phony.
Phony people talk negatively about other people. It’s fairly certain they are talking about you negatively behind your back, too. In fact, you can’t predict what kind of mood will occur with a phony person because they aren’t genuine. Their behavior is based on what they think others want. Fake people try to please everyone, but since that is impossible the irony is they are always being phony to someone.
