In any natural disaster situation or in disaster- prone areas, it is natural that the communities that will face the highest risk is the coaster communities. Given the disaster prediction, every time, such coastal communities do take protective measures but those measures are taken with the immediate goal of being saved from the immediate threat. So naturally, the preparation is last minute one and a lot important arrangements are not possible to be done. And this is why and where the shortcoming lies. Communities living in close proximity of coastal areas are aware of their unpredictable and sudden possibility of being in crisis of natural disaster, as the sea is the very first region that is affected by any kind of bad weather condition. It is on the long term arrangements based on which short term plans and measures can be made adequate and effective. High infrastructural establishments for flood situations and others, should have a medicinal collection that would address the waterborne diseases and other possible epidemics in the stricken area. The internal communication and coordination among the information body should be very efficient so that the time of the possible strike can be informed across the region in no time. There are certain goods and elements that are needed in such disastrous situations, like dry food and useful assets that protect from being contaminated through blocked water use. Coastal areas should always have an updated storage for such things. There must be a set of technologically and mechanically advanced equipments; functional and safely preserved which can be put to use when needed to reach to the distant corners of the affected territory for providing supply or rescue people. However, the only thing that is the most important is individual awareness and arrangement to move to safety anytime needed, along with the familial assets they deem important. Traning campaigns can also be conducted through the help of local government authority and their disaster management units, so that the inhabitants know first hand what to do in such immediate crisis situation. Such training has the potential of even decreasing death toll to a practical zero if conducted on a regular basis.
On the other hand, such crisis are the occasions of random and organized criminal activities and the law enforcing authorities must be able to prevent such crimes from occurring, through maintaining enough transportation and other resources available along with trained and adequate manpower. They must remain effectively operational in such situations. They must be tactically advanced enough to predict, detect and prevent such criminal activities or plans, especially organized crime efforts since it is possible to discover their pattern, from materializing; or at least retrieving criminals on the chase. And all of these are possible when an ideal hazard priority system is at work through an active team.
The above information provided are a comprehensive picture of how to deal with most aspects of a crisis and hazard situation. It is a highly efficient piece of recommendation or guidance for any coastal crisis management situation. Indeed, security is the side which is handled very lightly and ineffectively often in coastal areas. The very coastal economy has a lot of reasons to contribute to such crimes but they are also the particular predictors and signs based on which the possibility and pattern of criminal activity can be predicted and prevented.
