Everyone in this world is distinctive with regards to his/her personality (gender), cultures and mental capabilities. No one has the right to disgrace and disrespect anybody and all must accept diversity and should implement it in their lives. The importance of diversity and its effects are to be explained to everybody especially the military personnel.
Diversity is very significant in military as the need for adaptability is crucial. The racial, cultural and gender discrimination are very destructive and cause a lot of problems, the leaders should adapt diversity in order to avoid hurting other’s feelings and must make it sure that everybody else follow diversity. All of us should accept and respect different cultures and traditions and also the gender differences, it will help us to live a very peaceful life and avoid hurting others. It is observed that the person, who has the high level of acceptance for other cultures and traditions, may face fewer problems than those who are resistant to accepting it. The leaders must not be the bias in their decisions and must not prefer taking unfair actions; also the acceptance level should be high as new experiences teach new things. It is supported that leaders should talk to everyone, and it is only possible if the leaders know diversity and follow it.
It is also preferred that people should change and challenge the false assumptions regarding the “do’s and don’ts” related to the teachings of their customs and traditions and must be consistent with doing so (Caligiuri, 2013; Gay, 2013)
Diversity helps in developing the competence of understanding different cultures. The different discriminations and discrepancies can be avoided, and the decision-making can be improved.
