If we want equality, all schools and universities in the country should make their decision according to results. Results from a test to challenge a student’s intellect and problem solving prowess. This way, the reason for an applicant to be accepted or rejects is up to him or her. Give everyone the chance to prove themselves and not just categorize them by the color of their skin. Diversity can be balanced if people started to look at a person on the inside rather than what he or she looks like. People should either be accepted or rejected by their contribution to the development of humanity as a whole, not only in academics but for social justice as well. Affirmative action is a remedy to aid social justice, “race is used as racism-a tool of oppression that one group (individual) uses to dominate the other” (Brooks 6).

Second Point of View

Another way to promote diversity is to offer individual counseling in order to help others build up their confidence and make them realize that they are being treated as equals. Individual counseling is somehow reassuring someone and motivating someone to push through no matter his/her skin color. If minorities realize that the world they live in isn’t fair, then their drive to achieve their goals will diminish not because of their lack in intellect but because of extreme discouragement.

Third Point of View

The US government should develop and enhance the teaching prowess all schools in the country may it be a private or public school. Advise teachers to challenge all students in order to ignite the true intellect within them. Economically speaking, the government needs to support less-advanced schools, so in the future, there won’t be any comparison from where an individual graduated and which school is he/she suitable for.
