Moral reasoning is a rational process which determines if a thought or an idea is correct or incorrect. To understand if something is correct or incorrect, a person must initially understand what that something is, and what it is supposed to do. Moral behavior is different from moral reasoning as it is the variation of objectives, judgments, and activities between those that are good or correct with those that are bad or incorrect. Moral reasoning can be considered as one of the possible ways to arrive at moral behavior. People at high moral reasoning stages are known to act more morally than people at low reasoning stages.
Moral reasoning and moral behavior are informally connected, but they are not interchangeable. When a given system produces normal moral behavior it cannot be concluded that the reasoning mode is sound, and it is important to have a consistent and rational mode of intellectual where moral behavior is concerned. When such reasoning does not exist the moral systems become more delicate than they should be, and people certainly end up with miserable letdowns of moral judgments. It is known that morals stimulate passions, and generate or inhibit actions, and its moral reasoning is absolutely ineffective in this actuals. The rules of morality, therefore, are not conclusions of our reason as it is useless to make-believe, that morals and principles are discovered only by a conclusion of reason.
I believe that there are universal moral rules, which is called the Golden Rule. Within the community there can exist diversity and universality for which universal moral rules are applicable. Morality related to common values focuses on the highly pleasing values, for example, the golden rule or the revolting groups; the Nazis, or to the bride burning, or genital injury, and in such cases humankind agrees to the acceptance or condemnation of such practices. There are few rules that are marginally dissimilar in various places, but that is only because it is only understood in a different way.
