Introduction

Many factors contribute to global warming. One of the major factors include human activities all over the world that exacerbate the emission of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere that contribute to the phenomena of the warming of the earth. Human activities, however, differ depending primarily on the quality of life in a given region or community. Developing and developed countries, for instance, differ in terms of human activities that contribute to global warming. Considering this distinction, the primary objective in conducting research is to determine the role of the developing world in global warming in terms of human activities observed in developing regions or communities.
The inadequacy of infrastructure in the developing world and inefficient governance that leads to weak development and implementation of environmental policies are the main reasons why some research studies claim that developing countries contribute more to global warming. Considering this argument, the research study hypothesizes that the developing world significantly contributes to global warming. Hence, the research study will focus on obtaining data or information to either support or refute the hypothesis. To address the theme of research, the research question aims to determine specific human activities in the developing world that contribute to global warming.

Research Notes

Existing research studies highlight the positive and negative role of the developing world to global warming. Various research studies prove that developing countries contribute more greenhouses gases into the atmosphere. For this reason, they are largely responsible for global warming. In the research study, various sources will be explored to determine the contributions of the developing world to global warming compared to developed countries. The outcomes will be discussed in the research.
On the contrary, other studies reiterate the role of developing countries in addressing global warming. Ball, for instance, argued that the developing world’s role is growing in addressing the challenges brought about by global warming. Since most countries in the developing world aim for progress and growth in all aspects, development programs and initiatives could help governments in developing countries develop and implement policies for environmental sustainability. Consequently, developing countries could both promote economic self-interest while contribute to solutions for global warming.
As formerly noted, the developing world’s role in addressing global warming has grown due to their potential in helping curb greenhouse gas emissions. In an article for The Economist, the publication stated that developing nations should contribute to initiatives that aim to combat global warming because they will more likely benefit from environmental sustainability. The Economist highlighted that the detrimental impact of global warming will significantly affect poor countries. Global warming leads to natural calamities such as typhoons that causes flooding. When these happen, poor countries suffer because they lack the infrastructure and funding to prevent the detrimental impact of calamities in the community. For this reason, nations in the developing world should lead initiatives to address global warming as they would stand to gain from it.
Wei, et al. (12911) sought to introduce a proactive approach in addressing the problem. Wei et al. made recommendations for developing countries to address climate change and global warming. Solving this issue necessitate collaboration between developing and developed countries because the latter introduce different human activities in poor countries that contribute to global warming.

Conclusion

The foregoing discussion illustrates an outline of the project. The hypothesis guiding the research is that developing nations contribute to global warming. Hence, the research question will focus on the identification of human activities in developing countries that directly contribute to global warming. Existing research will be consulted, analyzed, and synthesized to determine the role of developing nations, both positive and negative, to the exacerbation or resolution of global warming and climate change.
