Example Of Literally Analysis And Comparison Of Stuff Happens And Twilight Los Angeles Essay
Introduction
The artistic works share a feeling of gloomy nature because they have a concept designed in order to highlight the social diseases and problems those communities and countries face along the way of their lives. The globalized catastrophe of war leaves a lot of households destroyed and many futures ruined. The notion of war emerged as a nationalistic philosophy, and therefore, early military incursions occurred in the name of nationalism and religion. However, with the passage of time, identity of war as a concept changed as did other phenomena in human life. The religion has turned into a full fledge business, and therefore, in developing countries, saints are using theological affiliations of people as a mechanism of entrapment. The changing philosophical beliefs are manifesting themselves in the personal matters of the public as well. People of developed nations are forming their various sexual identities such as lesbian and gay in the name of freedom. The family structure of the west is destroying as a result of abovementioned extraordinary socialistic development and advancement. Furthermore, the force of change engulfed the conventional meaning of war as well. War is not fought in order to save the national pride of the people living in the specific geographical location, but it is a political outcome that creates profit for the companies those produces weapon and explosives because if battles do not happen then, the companies will go bankrupt to say the least. The economies of America and France are running by producing advanced weaponry. The future of mankind is in question as there are many nuclear weapons present on the face of Earth those can destroy the whole planet in the matter of a few minutes. In this way, war has developed itself as the source of wealth creation in the modern era of the 21st century. Additionally, the thesis statement of “stuff happens” argues that there are a lot of worldviews present in the world those define war from different perspectives. The play named “Twilight Los Angeles" shares the same artistic regime that worked in order to define the brutal killing of Rodney King who was an African American. The play was developed in order to challenge the racial discrimination that was prevalent in the early history of America, but as time passed, the social situation in this regard improved a great deal. Additionally, the work of Anna Deavere Smith was based on intensive research those she conducted with the people participated in the civil disturbances followed the death of an innocent man, and she argued in the opening moments of the play that “I am first looking for the humanness inside the problems or crisis”. The human rights Rodney were suppressed, and he was given death plenty for no good reason, and therefore, it is very painful to note that the culprits of the civil injustice were set free to walk by the court. In this way, the relevant society reacted emotionally. Both of the plays were written and performed against the presence of violent actions and attitudes in the community. On the other hand, these artistic works challenged the social order that cannot value humanistic concerns., and Rudy Salas said “ I realized that I had an enemy was those nice white teachers”
Violence is an exercise of injustice due to a belief of righteousness. In the confrontation of any sort, one party manages to maintain an upper hand because of political and economic power. However, the forced takeovers are hardly ethical in nature. The developed nations imposed war on the Iraqi people because the advanced countries needed to satisfy their lust for oil. The flipside of the story professed that the attacked country harbored terrorism, and it threatened to attack the west in general and America in particular, and therefore, it was necessary to neutralize a powering enemy that would have gained strength to dissipate the very lifestyle of the first world. These two views were presented in front of the world by opposing and supporting parties of the war. The final argument that renders all the propaganda of west about justification of Iraqi war states that if the country had nuclear weapons then why it would not use them in order to defend itself. The argumentative quality of the other philosophical side grows considerably when one analyzes the report of UN authorities that clearly acknowledges the absence of any nuclear weapon on the Iraqi soil.
The artists are generally against inhumane behaviors, and they are considerably happy to witness that there are not active warzones in the world. However, social and economic inequality is persistently growing in all parts of the world. In addition, corporatism is creating wealth by using talents and competencies of others. The capitalism is working in order to gather as much money as possible. The war against traditional terrorism is developed as a means to feed a financial system that promotes inequality and suffering in the world. The war is not eliminating, but it is changing its disguises in order to become more and more subtle in nature so that the eye and mind of a common person cannot catch the presence of violence. In organizational terms, the terrorism manifests itself when an employee goes through psychological contract breach. His or her expectations are not met by the employer, and he or she feels proud over his or her ability to rip off others at an intellectual level. The open theft is uncommon in the modern world, but disguised one is getting stronger and stronger as time is passing. At the same time, people are living unpeaceful lives in a peaceful world. Slavery is still present, and it has evolved into the concept of employment. Basic human rights are fulfilled, but the Marxism does not allow any ordinary man to emerge as extraordinary one. The violence is unethical, but active deception is even a bigger sin.
The artists are merrymaking because they won the war against social and cultural racism in the developed parts of the world, and the conventional wars are dying out in all parts of the world. However, the warfare is going on because those who lack in capacity of earning honest livings have to devise new and innovative ways in order to ensure their survival. The trend of outsourcing for example engages the local factors of production in order to fulfill the needs and wants of a distant population, and in this way, people are succumbing to the regime of invasion willingly without even having an idea about the socioeconomic ramifications of their commercial actions. The capitalism is a mechanism that values creation of wealth only, and it does not have anything to do with ethics, civic values, and humane touch. The capitalism argues that the society must serve the needs of the few people by using large portions of the masses as employees and slaves.
The true freedom in the world of capitalistic mindset is creation of small and medium enterprises, and that step will lead towards economic stability in the lower social class of the community. The vision that the artists have to profess in the future will develop an employee into the next entrepreneur. He or she will have to be given the freedom of choice to create an organization of whatever sort. The person’s personality will have a significant role and hand in this regard. The wealth creation in the abovementioned way will take away the feeling of deprivation from the society because each individual will be engaged in his or her favorite profession. The economic theory needs be humanized as well. The organizations have attained the degree of the best creational contribution of mankind towards the world, but the artists are acting blind to the reality that is occupying the minds of people at an individual level. Nations are nowadays free, but they are made of enslaved people. Every person has a gift from the nature that he or she will use in order to make this world a better place. The artists regardless of their race, nationality, and gender follow the theological belief system of Sufism that believes in the value of sharing. To a surprise, Steve Jobs had received inspiration from the aforementioned philosophy as well. The modern concept of teamwork was institutionalized by the founder of Apple.
According to Steve Jobs, everybody has an inherit right and freedom to listen to the faintest voice of his her heart. He argues that the life is a painting, and it may appear randomly constructed, but eventually, it will form a shape of its own. However, one has to have the energy and courage to continue drawing. The life should go on because everyone of us will have the fullest capacity to find greatness in life. The organizational and capitalistic terrorism can be eliminated through promotion of equality and justice in the society. The former CEO of technological giant was extremely lucky because he did not participate in normal education because if he did so then, loser professors would have drummed followership into him, but he was an inborn leader with an immeasurable power of intuition that he used to create technological wonders those enlightened lives of countless people all around the world.
In the play “Stuff Happens” Donald Rumsfeld responds to the question of an esteemed journalist about widespread unrest in the country of Iraq when Americans invaded with the following quote “I have seen those pictures. I have seen those pictures. I could take pictures in any city of America when we have had riots and looting”. The gentleman responded with a vivid answer, but the response was irrelevant because Donald ran a meaningless comparison between the law and order situation of Iraq and America. The latter society was not facing invasion, but the former one was, and it was a huge difference. The secretary of defense did not have a proper answer to defend the situation, and therefore, one can understand that he did not care about the welfare of Iraqis whatsoever. The character of Donald illustrated the viewpoint of government in accordance to the taking place of Iraqi war, and therefore, the character was consistent with the purpose of the play to highlight different perspectives of the society regarding the war.
The facsimile of Collin Powell passes the bucks to the politicians who commence wars and the soldiers have to bear the consequences of that decision. However, from Collin’s description of the events, one can only wonder that whether or not he is a politician. He appears so. No one wants to carry the burden of starting a destructive war, but in reality everyone of them played some kind of role in this regard. The US government built the military coalition that attacked the suppressed country, and therefore, the American official played a controlling role in terms of sanctioning the war, but they do not want to carry the blame so the character of Collins represented the ideology of US government about the war, and in the background Bush and Blair were looking to gain control over the oil resources of the Iraq, and that was the real agenda behind everything that transpired in the attacked country.
The opening character of “Twilight Los Angeles” learned to hate who reacted towards him badly, and therefore, he passed the buck in his own way. The previously mentioned character represented an ideology of responding to hate with hatred, and therefore, he ia as responsible for the challenging social conditions as white person is. Secondly, the character of Rodney King plea to the audience about the articulation of facts those led to his miserable death, and he was dead because he was a black man.
Conclusion
The hatred is of various kinds, and therefore, it manifests and dwells according to the surrounding social realities. However, there is no way in the world to eliminate social disorders from the society because this realm of reality is created in order to support the fight of good and evil. By definition, both of the values have to coexist. The challenge civically valid people face is stemming out of the need to minimize the presence evilish regimes in the society. With the passage of time, the artists have to realize the fact that the hatred and social discrimination is changing shapes in order to find new ways via those it can reintegrate itself into the society of nations. The organizations have provided the elements of hate and discrimination with perfect hotspot to flourish because they represent the modern arena of humanity’s accomplishments, and therefore, no one suspects them to break their own rules, but they do so when it becomes profitable for them. The exploitation of employees appears to be profitable all the time to the companies. The artists have to fight social discrepancies veiled in the name of professionalism.
