Although parents and guardians think there is no reason for alarm concerning the wellbeing of their children, there is urgent need for parents and guardians to come to the reality on the ground and address the problem of the teen suicide if they want to save their children of being the next victim of suicide

The suicide is cause by abuse of alcohol
“According to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, the combination of depression and alcoholism causes more than 75 percent of all suicides in the united state ” (Iliades, 2015)

Alcohol is a major contributor to this crisis since consumption of alcohol causes impairment in critical thinking or reasoning capacity

“It has been demonstrated that youth (age 13) who reported an episode of heavy episodic drinking (HED) during the past year were found to be twice more likely to report a suicide attempt” (McLoughlin et al., 2015)

This danger is escalated even further by easier access and affordability of alcohol by this group

Depression is another serious contributor to the cause of suicide among the teenagers especially the natives American teen.
It causes these teenagers feel they are worthless and no one care about them.
This feeling of worthless and insignificant in the society make the youth feel hopeless
This feeling push the teenagers to commit suicide in order to escape from their misery.
The cause of depression is associated with the environment, in which a person is located. The harsh conditions such as poor housing, low access to quality health care, unemployment and low access to social amenities have been established to be the major cause of depression (King et al., 2013)

The social network will help the suicidal person avoid some factors that increase the risk of committing suicide e.g. alcohol or substance abuse

having a good relationship with our teenagers in the society
providing a means through which suicidal individuals can communicate in times of despair about their feelings
provide accessible and readily available health services that specialize in behavioral disorders so as to treat mental illness e.g. depression

The prevalence of the teen committing suicide has escalated in the recent past.

Various reports and research by experts indicate that 8% of teens attempts to commit suicide annually in the United State (Joshi et al., 2015)
families are spending fortune in the funeral arrangements
There are many causes which contribute and push teens to commit suicide e.g. bullying in school or at home, poverty, alcohol, negligence by family members, depression, unemployment and lack of basic commodities or services such as food or access to quality and safe health care.

Depression is a serious contributor to the cause of suicide among the teenagers especially the natives American teen.

There are number of measures which have been put in place to prevent or reduce suicide cases in the country.

EXPLINATIONI am taking this study since I have been always curious as to why so many teenagers commit suicide. Alcohol and depression have been greatly linked to the cause of these accidents. However, there are those who believe metal disorder is the main cause.

On the other hand, there are sections which oppose alcohol and depression as the main cause of the suicide. Some believe a person of the right mind cannot commit suicide due to the problems they are facing in life (National Alliance on Mental Illness). Thus, mental disorder is considered as the main cause of suicide among the teens.
