This value upholds together and expresses the institution’s self-image, internal working environment, outside world interaction and firm’s future expectations. Southwest is an airline company. This paper tackles the organizational culture of Southwest Airlines, how it affects its employee’s behavior and potential sources of intrinsic motivation
Southwest airline corporate culture is first expressed in terms of the freedom given to the employees in decision-making, personal expression, and dressing code. For instance, employees are authorized to wear unofficially and have fun. Moreover, the personal expression of the plane crew is friendly. The employees are closer and freely interact with their clients. Secondly, organization culture is expressed by employee’s commitment towards collective objective. In Southwest airline, employees are committed to the general purpose of the company. Employees value other employees, for example, the plane crew were feed and had their plane cleaned by employees from another department.
Employees are affected by the culture of the airline in the following ways. Employees exercise freedom in interaction with clients, and this is expressed through singing and permission to take pictures of the flight attendants. It also affects their dressing code whereby there wear casual clothing instead of official corporate attires.

Employees have free choice of their dressing code and expression. Employees are also acknowledged and appreciated in South West Airline for instance plane crew after landing are feed, and their plane cleaned to show appreciation for their work, and that they are valuable members of the organization.
Employees in Southwest Airlines have the opportunity to incorporate their creative ideas in the business operations. The intrinsic sources of motivation emanate from the general treatment that the employees get from the management of the airline.
