Management Teams
In the company, Glo-Bus, there are one to five members that are assigned to operate a company of digital camera that is able to produce and market multi-featured cameras with entry-level features with direct competition from companies that produce digital cameras and these companies are operated by members of the same class. Around twelve companies can compete with each other in one industry. These companies also compete internationally in Asia-Pacific region, North America, Europe, Africa and Latin America (Glo-Bus, 2015).
The work of team projects is critical for any company because it is able to benefit both the management, organization, and employees. There are a lot of benefits this experience offer members when working on future team projects in places of work. When an individual operates in teamwork, they are not only able to identify the capabilities and skills of other people in the team, but also his own skills and competencies along with knowing the negatives of his personal characteristics. The personal analysis provides insights into an individual negatives and positives, overall performance at an individual level, as well as performance and productivity within an organization (French, 2013).
At Glo-Bus, the future team projects will help in the development of skills of members. Most significantly, it is imperative that interpersonal skills must be improved because employees do not work in isolation and have chances to interact with other employees, work on different issues, brainstorm and negotiate. In future team projects, an individual has a chance to demonstrate his managerial and leadership skills. This helps in motivating the team members when they are given an opportunity to enhance their skill set and demonstrate their hidden qualities. When a team is able to achieve their targets and goals, they are rewarded for their achievements with bonus and rewards (French, 2013).
In order to manage the future teams, different project ideas are discussed and brainstormed. The best concepts are chosen by the management in order to implement the tasks properly. The future teams are able to manage the knowledge base and skill set of every employee, and working in teams helps to enhance these skill sets and improve the performance level. With the performance of the team, the overall organization is able to perform well.
Advice and guidance for future management of teams
There are a lot of issues that future teams might have to face. The major concern is the dramatic change in market conditions for digital cameras with tough competition from other companies. It is important that companies must implement a reactive approach and must not stick with the original plans in action. It is integral that plans must be altered according to changing business dynamics of Glo-Bus. The future teams must continuously keep an eye on the actions and reactions of their competitors. The strategic planning must be based on the missed opportunities of competitors. There are different strategies for the future teams to choose from such as niche strategy, low-cost strategy, and differentiation strategy. In order to manage the teams well, it is important that company goals, objectives, and targets must be well-communicated so that the team has a fair idea of what to pursue and implement. A proactive approach must be followed so that competitive edge can be maintained, and new markets can be explored (Glo-Bus, 2015).
