Fisherman was at the rank of Deputy, so he ordered Jacob With his dirty thumb and said:

“To clean the shelves now, because you dislike slaves, servants and inequalities.”
This quote shows one of the two difficulties in which Jacob confronted. He became the employee of the extreme integrity, and he was ordered to the task of auditing of the company and flushing the corruption of the company. Another man who was chief of the trading station, Vorstenbosh, when Jacob told him about the dishonest, he also joined to fight against the common enemy.
This quote also shows about the character of the Jacob, and he was a pious, noble and an upright man, he had the post of clerk in Dutch East Indies Company. When Deputy Fisher ordered him to do the task of the servant, he became very angry because this is not the work regarding his rank, but the Fisherman forced him to do so. At last Jacob controlled his feelings and went on to do the job. But later he showed his feelings against these kinds of acts by Fisher through these lines below:
Through the character of Jacob, he said, “Master Fischer owns my body, then, but he does not own my mind. This I know, because of a test. When I shave Master Fischer, I imagine slitting open his throat. If he owned my mind, he would see this evil thought. But instead of punishing me, he just sits there with his eyes shut.” (David Mitchell, 2010)
These lines tell us that our mind is a free bird. It is not slave neither influenced to anyone and nor is under the undue influence. It has its own free will. It is its own master.
