Nike Inc. is a company that produces three core products –footwear, attire, and equipment. The aim of the company is to develop equitable and empowered personnel. Nike Inc. is committed to motivating athletes to attain their complete potential. NIKE Inc. is a company that has learned from its successes and it failures and communicated them through reports. NIKE Inc. Markets its products worldwide. The all-inclusive income of the company increased in the financial year of 2012 to 2013 but to some extent declined in the financial year 2013 to 2014. The net income of the company has shown improvement in the last two financial years.
The company success has not been easy since it had to face some pros and cons. Being an international company, NIKE Inc. ensures environmental sustainability by minimizing the rate of resources usage per unit per economic activity. NIKE Inc. has also led to the development of jobs hence giving many people a means of livelihood (Hays, 2013). NIKE Inc. has strong corporate culture and values that guide its operation hence increasing its productivity. The company embraces strong teamwork that leads to employee motivation hence resulting in high productivity. Due to economies of scales the company has seen reduced cost in its production.
On the other hand, with the company operating worldwide it’s likely to face economic problems due to increased political instability in different countries. The other con is the increasing cost of raw materials (Hays, 2013). This affects the cost hence affecting the prices of their products and in return affecting the revenue of the company.
