Behavioral Interview Question Option #1: Give me an example of a time you faced a conflict while working on a team. How did you handle that?
Some time back, I was working in this media house as an intern. I used to work in a team there. Every person was assigned some specific duty. I was given the job of researching on the specific topics of writing as provided by my seniors. At one such instance, one of my colleagues accused me of laxity. According to him, I was not doing my work properly and the job profile of research was too much for me to handle. He claimed to have gone through some of my research work which he found to be incomplete and incompetent. He complained to the team leader about me. However, I remained polite and decent in my approach. I tried my very best to explain my perspective and work. I showed my team leader how extensively and systematically I conducted my research. After ten minutes of minute explanation, the team leader was totally convinced of my responsible nature. He rebuked the other person and commented that he was really impressed with my work. This was truly encouraging for me as an intern.

This was during an exam some years back. I remember that I was down with fever for a week and could not study at all for the test. The doctor advised me not to attend on the day of the exam. However, I was resolute to give it a try. I still remember vividly how my eyes were sore and I could hardly write. I had high fever and somehow struggled through the span of half an hour. I was feeling dizzy and could hardly remember what I had penned during the test. I recovered in the next few days. When the results came out, I came to know that I had failed in the exam. Every other student in the class had passed. I remember a tear rolled down my eye. As I returned home, I pondered and came to realize that it was not my fault. I did my very best under the circumstance. I went on to take this as a lesson of life. This failure was to provide me with greater zeal to achieve my goals in the future. I was gritty to do much better the next time. This failure made me stronger in the long run, and made me realize that I should never give up.

Behavioral Interview Question Option #5: Tell me about a successful presentation you gave and why you think it was a hit.

Quite recently, I was giving a presentation in the community hall of my locality endeavoring the people attending to come together to help the homeless people of the area in whatever way possible. I incorporated audio-visual elements that depicted real homeless people and their woes of life. I focused on the fact that a collaborative effort on our part would be of great help to those people. I said how it would not be too taxing and all would be able to do something constructive in the process. I portrayed the economic disparity and delved into the social responsibility of one and all as a citizen. The presentation was of 25 slides, and I remember how I made the session as interactive as possible. I was simply overwhelmed by the reaction that I received from the people present. They clapped as I ended my presentation and gave a standing ovation. After this, many of the elders came up to me to congratulate on my oratorical ability. We could finally create an organization that would be committed to help the homeless people by providing food, health services and other aids.

Behavioral Interview Question Option #6: Tell me about your proudest professional accomplishment.

I was working as an intern at this media house some time back. I was supposed to help my seniors in drafting the articles that would get published online. People there treated me as a junior as I was learning the nuances of the work. However, there was this instance when my senior failed to turn up with his work. The deadline was nearing and he would have surely been rebuked by the management if he failed the deadline. I took the responsibility of doing all the work that was assigned to him. This was an article on global terrorism and communal violence. I remember doing the extensive research, cross-checking the data, writing and proof-reading the work. The next day, both my senior and the entire management appreciated my work and even termed it to be one of the best articles to have been published by the media house in the recent times. I felt really proud as all the employees at my office clapped in appreciation. I take this to be the proudest moment in my professional life till date.
Behavioral Interview Question Option #7: Give me an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
There was a time when I was supposed to make a presentation on a social issue in the region I live in. I focused on the issue of gun control and public perception and outlook. I was supposed to present my findings in a gathering or a seminar sort of. I hogged the opportunity to portray my creativity in this work. Firstly, I went on to take interviews of people. I also took online interviews of victims and their families. Then, I analyzed the data and represented them pictorially so as to make the presentation more creative. Data analysis was a bit difficult in the beginning, but I was able to accomplish it. I also went on to create a still animation so as to highlight the matter in a more creative way in front of one and all. I received a lot of accolades for the work and people found it to be very convincing in its argument and portrayal.
