Social work with families in Multicultural perspectives may a challenging endeavor for the social work practice with African –American adolescent girls. The use of a ‘process-person-context-model’ in such dealing is vital especially on the point that you will be dealing with different families with different norms and believe (Adams, p. 38).

African-American culturally sensitive treatment is well articulated in the article. Afrocentric perspective is well illustrated in the article thus giving the scope of how the approach can be used in social work. Other chapters are: spirituality importance, adolescents suicide attempts, ethnicity effects on incest treatments and understanding; Russian, Hispanic and Asian immigrants. These entire chapters incorporated together to provide the much need social work in multicultural perspectives.
