Management Plan Summary

The satisfaction of an employee may affect a business in various ways. Satisfaction entails feeling that all their wants are catered for in the work environment (Herzberg & et al. 93). If the employee feels they are satisfied, the business may be at an advantage. The employee will do his or her work wholeheartedly. They will work as required at may even surpass the employer’s expectations. It will mean that they produce results. Higher profit margins will be achieved. The company will be able to meet their production goals and objectives. Dissatisfaction would mean that the employee does not provide a good working condition (Herzberg& et al. 56). It can be in terms of providing an adequate salary or wage or providing reasonable incentives and promotions. Dissatisfaction may affect the way an employee does their job. They may have a negative attitude towards their superiors. Hence, they will not perform adequately on the specific tasks they are assigned to perform. It eventually will lead to losses for the company.
An employee needs to feel that their skills and knowledge are well utilized (Spector 25). There are supposed to be adequately engaged as per their job description. They should not be under or over utilized. Underutilization may lead to unsatisfaction. One may feel that they are not given the opportunity to use and grow their capabilities. It may lead to employees searching for jobs elsewhere. It would mean that the company losses able manpower. As per statutory work laws an employer regardless of providing a workplace for employees they have the duty of providing adequate work (Spector 12).
I recommend that an assessment of the attitude of the employees towards the management. It will help find the loopholes in the management. It is crucial that the management also has an evaluation of itself from an employee’s perception. It will enable for a smoother running of the company. The test should also include an assessment of the things that the employees feel, act as a hindrance to their performance. It will help create a more conducive environment for the employees to work.

James needs to be motivated to do his work. Thus, the company should find more ways of providing incentives. The motivation can also come in the form of promotions, as James is a high performer.

Miriam has a problem of controlling her emotions. The company can provide channels of directing the excess emotions. By organizing outdoor activities, she can channel out all the happiness. Other venues include talking to a psychiatrist.

Thomas is too dependent on the management. He should be given more opportunities to exercise leadership as he has the potential of becoming an even higher performer.
