The documentary film, called “Made in Bangladesh”, concentrated on the Rana Plaza disaster, is a great example of an impressive and persuasive documentary. The length of this documentary is 25 minutes. Along with it, all facts are essential with no extraneous information. This is one of the strong sides of this documentary and of its creators from the Fault Line – a great ability to pick important information to pass onto the viewer. Another strong point of the “Made in Bangladesh” is a perfect combination of the professional filmed scenes and scenes from hidden cameras. This particular combination has shown a great work, which was done while montaging this documentary. (Lysanne Louter. Made in Bangladesh)

Notes:

All scenes were put on their places, creating an unbreakable chain of facts, connected by their one main line – the catastrophe on the Rana Plaza and the amount of people. It is about those people, who have died in this disaster. Interviews were put exactly on the right places, emphasizing those facts, which were given by the narrator and the person, who was investigating this crime of an ignoring people’s work conditions and a sub-contracting (Lysanne Louter. Made in Bangladesh).
All scenes, shown in this particular documentary are really impressive and, sometimes, are shocking enough, like the one with life-guards, taking people from the remains of the

Comparing Notes:

On my opinion, all basic rules, in the comparison to the represented ones in the discussion by Michael Moore, are corresponding to each other. Generally speaking, I agree with critics about this film that it is a great example of how the society should react on the unfairness in the modern world. The documentary “Made in Bangladesh” was made, following the main basic rules of the documentary film creation process.

Own documentary:

According to the all above said, this documentary can serve a perfect example in the approaching of an own documentary film. According to the Michel Moore’s documentary rules, this movie was done perfectly. The same goes with my own documentary, called “Catastrophe Across Cultures”, documentary video from Lugano, Switzerland. As it is concentrated on the cultural problem in the main, this documentary video will cover such questions, as: what are the main across cultural problems, what is unifying for all of them and what is the catastrophe across
The “Catastrophe Across Cultures” is an authoritative documentary, which means that there will be a lot of narration, but also, it will go in the combination with the visualization. It means that after the narration block there will go the visualization of what it was previously said. It will help the viewer to absorb given information better without overwhelming. It is important
As it is a documentary, it is important to remember that it is mostly concentrated on a high proportion of viewers, who are not well acknowledged in the topic. That is why, the main purpose of the documentary film – is to give the essential information only in a simple but memorable way. In this case, such documentary will be considered as a successful one.
