This paper presents two meals from McDonald’s Restaurant. The first meal is made up of healthy food choices while the second meal consists of unhealthy food choices.
The first meal consists of premium Caesar salad, chicken McNuggets, and Fruit ‘n’ Yogurt Parfait. Caesar salad is made up of 90 calories, 4 grams fats, zero trans-fat, 180 mg sodium, and 3 grams fiber. The second meal consists of hamburger, small French fries, and soda. Hamburger is made up of 250 calories, 9 grams fats, 0.5 grams Trans Fat, 480 mg sodium, and 2 grams fiber. A small French fries is made up of 230 calories, 11 grams fats, zero Trans-fat, 160 mg sodium, and 2 grams fiber. A soda is made up of 140 calories, 0.04 gram fat, 36.05 grams carbohydrates, and 0.26 grams protein.
The first meal is considered healthy because it contains fewer amounts of calories and fats. On the other hand, the second meal is considered unhealthy because of the massive amount of calories present in the food. I learned that often, the food choices I have are really unhealthy. Although the foods make us full, it does not necessarily mean they are healthy for us. Hamburger, in particular, is totally unhealthy. The extreme calories content when not burned well can create body fats. On the other hand, excessive consumption of fats may lead to diseases such as heart attack, stroke, and even arthritis. Excessive soda consumption can lead to acid and can also pose harm in the physiological function of the body.
The information obtained from this activity will make me more aware of the choices of foods I make. Moreover, this helps me understand how to be more meticulous in choosing the foods I eat.
