When the Thessalonians raised the concerns regarding end of time and return of Jesus, Paul wrote them letters. The first letter of Paul to Thessalonians is extremely important in this regard. He addressed a number of issues which were concerning the Thessalonians. The letter is not based on set of instructions but it actually is about the main issues Paul had. They were,
The relationship of Paul and his coworkers with the Thessalonians. Paul seems to be worried for them and their faith. He states that he is the spiritual mother and father for the Thessalonians .The new believers in Thessalonica were actually persecuted. This was basically a gesture of care towards them.
The letter also contains some instructions about topics like sexuality and relationships in Christianity. Paul considered them important to mention because he didn’t want Thessalonians to stray from the right path.
The concern for the Christians who were to die before the Christ’s return and questions regarding the end were also an important part of Paul’s letter. He addressed them in detail and talked about questions Thessalonians had regarding these topics.
Several theories about Rapture and its interpretation are believed to be true. People are of the view that only Bible contains the authentic information but the Rapture isn’t mentioned in the Holy book anywhere. Some people even have other names for it.
However it is believed that when people are through tough times they call Jesus for help. It is because of the typical human nature. They look for escape. When things get worst and they find no Rapture, they turn their backs on Jesus just because he didn’t come for help. That is exactly what devil wishes. The reinterpretation hence came because of such confusions and even today people have their own theories to believe.
