In work organizations, women continue to be underrepresented within top positions of leadership and managerial roles (Baker, 2014). This is a reality reflecting a number of hurdles creating a somewhat glass ceiling impact. Nonetheless, a number of women manage to achieve top roles in management. This has led to a debate in the assessment of what conditions leads to promotion of women despite the barriers that is not only well documented but also intractable. This glass ceiling impact has led to a number of researches to identify a mechanism in an effort to explain the said reality that includes discrimination, implicit bias, poor quality mentoring and informational and social networks exclusion (Claus et al, 2013). The purpose of his business brief is to assess the issues that face women in leadership roles through evaluating the hurdles they face to become leaders in these modern days in relation to Just Good Insurance.

Women are faced with large gender gaps for top most leadership roles. They are faced with barriers that make it increasingly difficult to attain and survive at the helm of management in any company (Smith, 2014). Despite these obvious hurdles facing women in various leadership roles, most of them ascend into managerial positions at the top in a number of areas in recent times. According to Fortune Magazine, 2006 saw most women ascend to top most leadership position as CEOs in companies like Xerox, Kraft Foods, PepsiCo, ADM and eBay among other companies (Ryan & Haslam, 2007). These corporate have women CEOs who make up the 16% of women top leaders in large firms (Cook & Glass, 2014).
2.2 Implications for management of Just Good Business
Just Good Insurance is an insurance company that sells assorted insurance ranging from; life insurance, terrorism insurance, motor vehicle insurance, health insurance, property insurance and so on. Lately, the company has specialized on health and life insurance. With such a specialized business, quality leadership is essential. The company always aims at attracting and retaining the best of talent from the job market. Additionally, quality management that is free of bias and societal prejudice is essential for its success. This means that the company must be in a position to appreciate talent and to include women in leadership as it aims to be a leader within its industry. It is therefore within the interests of the business to have women fully represented in the management of daily affairs and the running of the business (Butt et al, 2014). In light of this, studying the issues that face women in leadership roles through evaluating the hurdles they face to become leaders in modern firms will help Just Good Insurance to make good decisions in terms of leadership nominations and managerial decisions.
3.0 Conclusion
In conclusion, it is clear that women continue to face numerous hurdles in their attempt to be the best in any fields. This is particularly the case with large firms and corporate (Hauser, 2014). While the issue is being studied, it is essential for businesses to realize that such amount of gender discrimination serves only to hurt the business (Williams, 2014). Therefore, Just Good Insurance works to ensure that the business is bias free and that women are incorporated in management.
