Although we played football together with the author sometime back at the university of Maryland collage park, I never knew the story of his past. I just knew him as a great individual who was very focused on anything he decides to pursue. I knew him as somebody who was different from others when it comes to personal focus, determination and relating with others. However, after reading his book, Dead End or Divine Encounter, proves the few positive strengths I knew about the author. As a professional athlete, I concur with the author that winners are made during difficult moments. Before I reach where I have reached today as an athlete, I failed more than 100 times in different races without giving up. Just like the way the author of the book decided not to give up even after failing in school, I too decided to remain persistent in my urge to win a global race one day.
Therefore, the book is not only appropriate to those who are currently going through difficult situations, but also for every one who would like to succeed in life. We all face challenging moment in life, and hence this book serves as a source of inspiration to leaders on the appropriate steps to take when they reach their dead end. The author drew inspiration from God during difficult moments and shows them as a way of strengthening his faith in the lord. Instead of giving up like many people choose to do in life, he become more prayerful and dependent on God to give him grace to overcome the difficult situations. In conclusion, the book is a must-read to all people who would like to experience divine intervention in their lives.
