Free Essay On Attachment Security In Child Development.

In the video clip Science Bulletins: Attachment Theory—Understanding the Essential Bond, I discovered that the attachment security between the parent and their child is important because the strong bond between them does not only strengthen their relationship but also help the child to avoid having future health problems. I learned that parents should take good care of their child so that they can avoid having early life adversities. If the child would have early traumatic experiences, this situation could lead to a lifelong mental and social health problems. I also found out that parents who had a difficult childhood had problems in taking care of their child. It is hard for them to meet their child’s need as their personal experience is triggered when they see their child having difficulties.
These new discoveries help me realized how attachment between the parents and the children is important in various ways. For me, being attach with the parents at an early age can help one to be comfortable talk about anything with their parents. It could help them deal with the difficult situations that a child is facing and help them to avoid being stress.
These discoveries made me think of the ways to deal with children and how to be a responsible parent in the future. It made me think that I should be more careful in dealing with children. Also, I should help a struggling parent if I can because it is hard to meet the child’s need if one’s traumatic experience is triggered. I also realized that it is not enough that I provide my child’s need but also give more attention and time for him so that he can grow up as a healthy child.
