Global Links International Company is the company that deals with assembling and selling of computers. Currently, the organization is involved in assembling computers and other electronic devices and selling them in the entire country. This company has branches all over the country, and some can be found in other neighboring countries. At Global Links International Company, I work as a sales and marketing manager.

Problems facing Global Links International Company

Our major problem that is facing the company is competition from the other related companies that we are engaging in the same line of business. Our company is facing stiff competition from the other companies due to poor marketing strategies that were set down by the outgoing board of directors. As a new marketing manager, I have just discovered that we are facing stiff competition as a result of poor marketing and advertisement which is necessary for product awareness to the market and lack of market information about the most demanding models of computers by our esteemed customers.
When this problem with marketing is not solved, the company might have an increase in inventories and make low profits leading to its collapsing. This problem has not yet been addressed because of poor management skills by the outgoing board of directors. There were no proper marketing strategies that were set in place to help in marketing our products. Furthermore, there has been no market research for good knowledge of the customers and their choices and preferences. The lack of market information has resulted in a reduction in the total sales of the products from the company.

Importance of the problem stated.

As the sales manager, my core functions in this company is to come up with marketing strategies that will make our products widely known in the market. Poor marketing of the company’s product is thus a direct problem with my department since that is my responsibility. The problem will also affect the general performance of the company since poor marketing will result in low sales hence low returns from the company’s products.

Solution to the problems stated

The problem reported could be resolved by drawing new marketing strategies. This includes coming up with various advertisements in various media about our company and its activities. We can also carry out market research and be able to know the products that are in high demand in the market so that we can focus on the customer demands. The information on the market demand can be found from the market survey that will be conducted by the company. Furthermore, we can as well find the way to how the other companies are doing so that we can as well learn from them how to solve the problem
For these problems to be solved, first the company shall carry out market survey to establish the most preferred products and their model from our company. After the survey, the company will then embark on producing the most favorite products. As the production process will be going on, we shall set up advertisement programs in different Medias. We shall consider the use of television and newspapers in advertising our company’s products to make them known. We can as well carry out a road show and sales promotion activities to our main markets. Besides me, I can as involve some advisers to help in figuring out ways to make the company known in the entire market.
I, therefore, seek the approval of this proposal in the workplace plan as an essential requirement for any business environment that is facing similar problems as that of the Global Links International Company. I also request for the support in developing more ways of addressing problems facing the company.
