There are numerous safety concerns in work environments, as every work usually subjects employees or workers to different and diverse risks. The diversity of workplace risks require risk management experts or safety professionals to provide effective risk control programs that will help in measuring, evaluating, and auditing each form of risk effectively and conclusively (American Society of Safety Engineers, 1996). Developing risk detection and implementing techniques will help in determining the obvious or recurrent risks within particular work environments; hence, facilitating the development of approaches that would help in evaluating costs as well as establishing effective control measures to the identified risk or risks (American Society of Safety Engineers, 1996).
Moreover, the evaluation of risk assessment results would lead to the formulation of recommendations to address exact hazard control mechanisms to be employed towards preventing or reducing the employees’ vulnerability to the same risks. These measurement, assessment, and evaluation of organizational risks will help the organization to implement risk or hazard control and prevention mechanisms that will increase its overall safety measures. Furthermore, before the organization is widely advised on particular hazard control measures and programs to implement, safety professionals as well as relevant department will be informed on the underlying hazards that are likely to increase its operation or risks management costs.
