What Makes George Love Amazon

George loves Amazon despite the fact that he heard that the company treated their employees badly. For George, loving Amazon has nothing to do with internal matters. As Amazon has met his personal preferences and interests, George loves Amazon. The factors that have contributed to this love is the price that Amazon offers its customers for buying them through it; the extraordinary delivery services they provide to their customers; the loyalty program they have for regular buyers; and the care with which they deliver the purchased product.

Price:

As an online business organization, Amazon has to compete with a number of similar online companies. Since there is intense competition among the handful of companies, Amazon has no other option but to attract more clientele through innovative practices. While prices can be adjusted based on volume of sales, Amazon ensures that customers who log on to Amazon, get their money’s worth. In order to do so, Amazon spares no pain to ensure speedy and committed delivery schedules. As schedules have to be maintained as promised, the company has no other option than to pressure their employees to perform at their best all the time. While employees may feel the heat because of the pressure put on them, the company ensures that their customer’s interests are not compromised and their promises are kept. As the volume of traffic increases, Amazon is able to increase their revenue and pass on a part of it to their loyal customers.

Quick Service:

No customer would like to be kept waiting for more than the usual time taken to deliver a consignment. With the various payment options available to customers to purchase through Amazon, customers are given an assured delivery schedule which they honor every time. Shipment is a vital link to successful online business, and the faster the service, the better is its acceptance, and this is a feature that has kept George loyal to the company. Amazon makes practical delivery promises, but ensures that the shipment reach the customer ahead of schedule. Even though they promise to deliver a consignment the third day of placing the order, they invariably deliver it hours ahead of schedule, thus keeping their customers happy.

Loyalty:

As a student of Algonquin College, George frequently buys books, and school supplies through Amazon. Because of the frequency with which he engages with Amazon, George has an Amazon Prime account that gives George the privilege to save money on shipping. As Amazon offers delivery through reputed shipping companies, they are able to stick to their 2 day delivery schedules. Finally, Amazon is known to deal with brands that are prominent and established, and so, George feels that it is advisable to buy through Amazon. Because of the service Amazon has been providing George, he has become loyal to the company and visits the site three to four times a month to buy almost everything from clothing to books to head massagers.

Care:

When it comes to loyalty, a customer is tempted to understand that person or organization’s background. The background check is focused on that person or organization’s ethical behaviour. In the case of Amazon, what George looked forward from Amazon was the organization’s financial implications, environmental concerns, corporate and community services, and legal implications. After reading about Amazon’s harsh treatment of their employees who are treated shabbily, it dawned on George that it would be hard to please everyone in business. The idea of using monitoring technology to track movements and performance of employees can be construed to be a part of evaluating employee performance for motivational purposes. Employees need to understand that when they are selected by an organization such as Amazon, they are likely to face pressure to perform as the company believes in meeting customer expectations. As an organization that competes with other online businesses, there is bound to be intense competition to get recognition and this will show on employees. Therefore, while they face internal pressure, they can take satisfaction from the fact that they are contributing to their organization’s growth.
