The teacher or the instructor will also be a member of the team though not officially since they will have to break down the assignment given before leaving it to the students. After the grouping, each individual student will be tested, the testing is helpful because it enable the instructor to know whether the group work is helping the entire student or not. Te procedure for assigning these teams involves, ranking the students using academics as a form of measure. Separating the students with different academic abilities and placing in heterogeneous teams (a group of students with different abilities and measure). The instructor or the will then avail the learning objectives to each team. The learning objectives are usually questions with answer sheets that the team members will be answering the given questions. The team will then be required to work by studying the given questions and associating with one another to come up with answers that all team members are satisfied with. Finally, the instructor will assess the answers and each team member so as to know whether the team work was successful or not.
