There is an evident water scarcity in urban areas of United States. This has been evident in the reducing water level of the nation.
Water Scarcity in United States is subject to increased population growth, pollution, and increased water usage in various projects across the nation (Shannyn all).
Climate warming is a constrain that has seen some of the water masses of the United States a good example being Colorado River (Paul all).
Increased water usage across United States has increased water scarcity in the nation. The usage is subject to increased wasteful flush toilets, showerheads and non-insulated pipes (Paul all).
The federal government, through the United States Environmental Protection Agency has come up with recreational water quality criteria to protect human health from its waters. In addition, these regulations also address the need to take control of water in order to elevate water scarcity in the nation.
The federal government has also put in place other water recreation programs to help in addressing the issue of scarcity. Underground water remains a top agenda in the federal government’s budget. However, the extraction of water from the underground requires the government to spend more. Inadequate funds make the extraction of water from other sources difficult hence affecting the process of addressing recreation in water scarcity.
The federal government has also focused on recreational water scarcity by funding projects along the coasts and shorelines. The aim of the project is to reduce flood risk and reduce water wastage (Brett all).
The federal government is using the EPA inspections as the watchdog of investigating as to whether water storage, treatment and disposal of hazardous waste provisions are followed (Brett all).
