Samsung Company deals with technologically controlled electronics. Their products range from mobile devices, television and audio devices, cameras and camcorders, home appliances such as ovens, computers, and print solutions.
Five-year plan
Secondly, the organization need to focus on cloud computing. The reason being the many shared resources and inter-communication between devices. Cloud computing will enable users to use their gadgets efficiently and send commands which will then be speedily executed. Cloud will reduce congestion in the information transmission system enabling efficient reception and carrying out of commands. Cloud security will be enhanced by giving each a unique password that they will be required to change after every three months.
Samsung being a worldwide brand, a virtual team will need to be put in place. The members of the team will be in every country. Through the use of technology and telecommunication facilities, they will respond to clients’ issues. The team will be made up of individuals specialized in different fields of Information. The diversity will enable the teams to work efficiently and satisfactorily as per a customer’s need.
The virtual team will also work as an oversight to supply chains of the gadgets. Their role will include making data access easier for the customers. They will also ensure the cloud is constantly updated with the latest technology.
SWOT
Strengths:
Samsung has the best hardware integration in the market. It can produce small and sleek gadgets that are still very effective. The creativity of the products is unquestionable. The idea of smart phones emanated from Samsung. The company is, therefore, able to match the environment and user needs. Samsung pocket is a small phone that can be carried in the pocket whereas a tab can be operated either a cell phone or a mini pc.
Weaknesses:
The profit margin in creation of most electronics is very small. That poses as a weakness to the Samsung Company too. Patent infringement has become rampant in the industry, and the inability of a brand to protect its patent leads to losses.
Opportunities:
There is an increased demand for tablets. The multi-purpose use of these devices provides a large market for the organization’s products. India being a developing country is just embracing the smartphone technology; this too provides a large market for the products. Internet of things technology also requires a trusted brand to operate under. Samsung having a wide range of products make it easier for the devices to be inter-linked.
Threats:
The rapid development of Android technology among other brands threatens the originality of Samsung gadgets. It also provides competition in the market. Rapid change in technology demands that the products be updated to suit the current market. The change may be a challenge to keep up with and remain valid and unique.
