Summary
The article of Andy Molinsky (2015) discusses the mistake most managers make with cross-cultural training and the possible steps in executing the proper training process. He stressed that it is a mistake for the managers to often rely on the programs being given by training firms which only focuses on giving knowledge about the cultural differences. Knowing the cultural differences is not enough; the managers should first focus on finding the proper solution to the problem. If the problem is about adaptability of employees, then the managers must focus on how the employees will adapt their behavior and approach to the different cultures. Once a proper solution is found, you must develop a training the will integrate it to the actual work of the employees. Many companies are starting to realize this mistake and finding solutions that will make their employees adapt in a proper manner.
