The primary values and the philosophy of life are the general statement of a decision of the husband, and the wife he considers to marry. In the support of the statement, the two expresses believe that humans must go beyond the propagation boundaries. They believe that marriage is a sustenance of the broader support of the perspective, performed either customary or traditionally. In addition, marriage provides for the nurturance and companionship as expressed by the “couple”.
Thinking and feeling are part of the human nature that makes every person possess emotions. As such, there is need to learn how to live with the negative and positive emotions at the times of happiness or during bad moments.
The couple acknowledges and values children as a beginning of a good marriage. In addition, the couple believes in love, trusts for one another, and hence commits to living in love and trust for one another.
Mercy: I am getting married to Mike because I believe he is loving and capable of guarding me and my children.
Mike: I am marrying Mercy because she cares, is responsible, and trustworthy. I have known Mercy for quite some time now, and she assures me to satisfy my needs for a sexual relationship and bear children that we will nature together.

Income
We agree that each of us, as is currently working, will retain the jobs each one of us is doing. We have entered into this marriage free from debts. Each of us is to save ten percent of the gross income for the sustenance and development of the family goals that we shall be setting together. In the case of the job transfer for a distance exceeding 59 miles, the family would consider relocation or travel home over the weekends if relocation will not be easy. Each member will save 3% of their income for an annual family vacation and 5% for the education and sustenance of children. The catering of the other expenses will get money from the joint bank.
Relatives
We agrees to respect the in-laws despite the side they come from, without involving them in the intimate matters of the family unless with the consent of both of us. We shall agree on the on when to hold parties and who to involve. Each of us will enquire before visiting an in-law.
Religion
We share the same religious tradition and agree to remain in the same religion. We agree to attend the church that Mike attends upon marriage.
Recreation and leisure
We agree to spend weekends for leisure in pre-determined places. No partner will go out for recreation or leisure alone unless the other partner is aware and agree to the matter.
Finances
We shall open one joint account where each one will contribute 20% of their gross income. The money will help in the running of the general family affairs like buying new items. The wife will carry the checkbook, but the husband will pay the bills from the money in the joint account.
House chores
We agree to employ a homemaker for cleaning and cooking when the wife is away. The woman is always to cook for the husband and clean his clothes. The husband will pay the house help.
Parenting
We have agreed to have two children at after one year and two years respectively. We shall bring up the kids to together to maturity.
Residence
We agree to find and rent a house in the town for not more than two years waiting for the completion of the house the husband is building. We agree to relocate to the house upon completion, and it will become our property.
Sex
We agree to submit to one another unless in the cases of illness. We believe and agree to uphold a monogamous relationship.
Pets
We have agreed not to raise any pets in our family, and each one of us is satisfied with the idea.
Extended family
We agree not to live with any member of extended family for the continuity of a good relationship. In any case, we shall agree on when and how to visit the members of the extended family.
Death
Death of any of the partner will leave the surviving partner with freedom to and authority over all the property and documents left behind.
Divorce
A divorce will come if one partner is caught cheating in a relationship. We agree that the cheating partner of a partner demanding for divorce take 20% of the wealth of the family and leave the children behind. They will continue to provide for the up bring the children.
A marriage cohabitation agreement is an important document that guards how a husband and a wife live and behaves in a marriage. The document is commendable because it outlines the boundaries beyond which the partners should go, hence creates sustainability and fruitfulness.
