What are the causes of Happiness?
What happiness is everyone understands differently, because each of us is an individual with his or her own interests and preferences. For some people happiness is having the latest model car, and well equipped apartment with furniture. But for a great number of people happiness is caused by various factors.
For most people to become happy is to have faithful friends able to come and help any time. Only close friends listen to you and share you interests. Nobody can make you happy but somebody who is near, whom you can count on, and who is important to you. A friendly support can release you from bitterness and pain, wipe the tears from your sad eyes, and make you definitely happier.
Another determinant of happiness is health, as it affects significantly on every aspect of our life. Without proper health it is difficult to carry out daily activities, a person feels as if dependent on somebody, and not happy at all.
Having loving parents, grateful children, and harmony in the family is the best happiness to everyone. It is so pleasant to be surrounded by the people who care about you, give you so much love and tenderness that you can`t but become the happiest in the world.
Richard Layard described the state of happiness as “feeling good – enjoying life and feeling it is wonderful” (4). When you are happy life seems to be cloudless, the sun shines all the time, and you seem to go the right way. Beautiful things may happen when you are positive, happy, and with a smile on your face. So, enjoy every moment of your life and be happy.
