Having both parents working in the fashion marketing industry, it could be argued that pursuing this career is my disposition. Each day I am exposed to various trends in fashion and was immediately fascinated with the power of human creativity. I saw how people transformed with the help of clothes and accessories. My parents would often share to me how quick the trend change in the industry and that designers and marketing firms as pushed to their limits especially in coming up with ideas to outshine the competitors. It was not only the outside beauty that attracted me but also the freedom of expressions of the designers. In addition, at a young age, I learned how people can be influenced to purchase an item with the help of good marketing. On a personal note, as much as I enjoy shopping I also learned that I need to be very observant so that I will not be swindled when looking for items. Sometimes sellers are just good at persuading people but their products do not offer any quality
I consider fashion, not only as a way of life but also a path towards my self-discovery. Through its help I know that I can reach great heights especially in terms of networking. Given the competitive and fast-paced nature of the fashion marketing industry, I feel that I can stretch my potentialities to its limits once I enter the field. I know that I am born to be in this field not only because of my family background but also because this is the field I picture myself flourishing. As an innovative person, this career track will serve as my playground for unleashing my creativity.
