Literature Review
In this article, the author provides literature immediately after a description of the abstract. It seems that the reason for providing a literature immediately after the abstract is meant to provide readers with background information concerning the study. The literature focuses on challenges that the general public and local authorities experience as they attempt to manage issues of young and homelessness people. This is supported by use of previous studies that discuss how incidences of being young and homelessness have caused challenges in the United Kingdom and how authorities have managed them.
The use of literature in this article appears to give readers a basis of the study. That is, it gives readers an idea of the reasons why the author had to conduct the study. This is mainly expressed through the manner by, which the author describes previous researches that have been conducted indicating the challenges ascribed with managing young and homeless people. In this case, the literature is solely to introduce the problem of the study. This section also introduces research framework that the author applied in the study. This is supported by evidence indicating specific reasons why the author used the research framework. At the end of the literature review, the author provides a brief discussion indicating the aim of the study as he states: “To assess how staff in hostels occupied by homeless young people experience basic worker relationships and the particular aspects of the relationships the feel are more or less helpful.”This is followed by a description of the methodology that was applied to collect data.
